Why have your Quail Hunt at Shamrock Safaris?
  • Available Feed includes 1,000 lb Quail Feeders with Milo

  • Hunters are welcome to use our hunting dogs, or bring their own.  Kennels with dog runs are available as part of our accommodations, at no extra charge.

  • Home cooked meals are provided at the end of each day at the Lodge.  You can relax and enjoy satellite TV in our common area and share the day’s stories with your friends.

  • Application for Hunt is available to download from this website or you may call us

  • Taxidermy available thru Wildlife Taxidermy and Huntin', Madison, TN.  Meat processing to any stage available locally.


 The Details:
  • Season...  Late October through late February.  (Check with Texas Dept. of Parks and Wildlife, 1-800-895-4248, for specifics.)
  • Licensing...  All hunters must be licensed  throughthe Texas Dept. of Parks and Wildlife.  Your  application for a hunt at Shamrock Safaris contains all information needed for us to get your license for you.  Just let us know, or you can arrange it yourself from the number above.  (Non-residents under 17 years of age are designated as residents for hunting license purposes.) 
  • All hunters born after 1-1-71 MUST have a valid hunter safety certificate.  

What you Get...Your Hunt:

  • Day 1 (Not included in Hunt Cost):  Arrival.  You may either drive in or Shamrock Safaris is an easy drive from Amarillo International Airport.  If you choose to fly in, rental cars are available at the airport or we offer limousine pickups.  (Call for details).  That evening, enjoy a hearty, home cooked dinner, as part of your package.
  • Days 2, 3, 4 (or more, if you wish):  Wake before daybreak to a hearty breakfast buffet, then free transportation to the hunting areas.  Hunt as long as you wish (Be sure to pack a lunch.)  At the end of your day, it's back to the lodge for a home cooked dinner.  After that, you can enjoy satellite TV in our common area and share the day's stories with your friends, old and new.
  • Last day:  On the last day, hunters are welcome to stay over and leave the next morning.
